about

In 1998 the Missin' Cousins were invited to Dublin Federal Prison in Dublin, CA. It's a federal women's prison and during that time it imprisoned hundreds of women war-on-drugs prisoners.

We were invited by our friend Heather, and we got screened by the bureau of prisons, and came and gave a concert at the prison yard in 1998.

That day we updated lyrics to the johnny cash song by fax at our jobs, and then drove there together, singing the song in the car, and we played this song and others for the women. It was a blast.

The women were so enthusiastic about this song, we had to play it twice again.

We received a Thank You letter from the feds later on.
